EVault Partners with Fujitsu for Cloud Backup, DR

The business of cloud backup is literally in the clouds these days. This is mainly because this type of backup allows companies to store their important data online without having to spend a lot on storage devices and other necessary infrastructure.


Looking to explore opportunities in this field, EVault, a Seagate (News - Alert) Company, has partnered with Fujitsu. According to the agreement, Fujitsu will now expand its backup and recovery portfolio by introducing various hybrid cloud services that allow users to make use of cloud backup effectively.

EVault claims to provide data protection solutions that are safe and dependable. The company also provides seamless hybrid deployment, which make use of cloud technology. The solutions provided by the company include backup storage appliances, loud backup services and data protection software.

Fujitsu (News - Alert) also has plans to introduce various services which make use of EVault’s technology, which will allow companies to use a hybrid cloud backup strategy as well as help them meet various compliance or protection needs and specific data residency requirements.

Strategic partnerships are fundamental to EVault’s success and we are delighted to be working so closely with Fujitsu,” said Terry Cunningham, president and general manager of EVault in a statement. “By leveraging EVault’s solid backup offerings on Fujitsu Cloud, the partnership brings easy-to-implement, efficient and secure cloud-connected backup to organizations which are navigating the complexities of online business continuity.”

Recently, the company also partnered with Cequel Data Centers. According to the agreement, Cequel will be involved in the promotion and also the selling of EVault’s cloud-connected backup and recovery services. Cequel Data Centers is also expanding the company’s cloud services to provide the EVault combined portfolio of cloud-connected backup solutions. To assist users safeguard and access their business data, EVault provides onsite, cloud and cloud-connected – or hybrid – data protection solutions.
